could anyone tell me more about them and what made them so significant.
i want to do an art project on them as ive been ressearching about them online. specifically all the bicycle posters with women that were around.
what time period were they most popular in/where did they originate?
i cant find a way to classify them other than ‘vintage posters’
more information about them and how they came about and popular artists connected to them would be appreciated. what was with the massive bicycle fad!?

Of course, bicycles were important because theyrepresented cheap transportation that members of either gender. Using Google image search, I entered the term 1900s bicycle advertising and got plenty of hits. This commercial site offers reproductions of vintage bicycle ads, with a few words about the original artists.
